A workshop that presents explanation and history of the labyrinth; types, benefits, and functions of use. Labyrinths are being seen in a variety of settings to promote health and wellness: counseling centers, hospitals, hospice, schools, prisons, churches, retreat centers, and colleges. Find out why they are being so widely used; their application for you personally, and in your practice. Explores and discusses concept of the labyrinth for meditation, stress relief, centering, coping, and guidance. The labyrinth as a ‘metaphor for life’s journey’ can be applied even more-so during difficult and challenging times, as part of a therapeutic approach to reduce anxiety and strengthen intention. Participants will experience several labyrinth options; hand-held metal labyrinth, paper copies, ceramic lap labyrinths, and the indoor floor model.
